Research Interests

I am a PhD candidate in the group. My current project has been on the evolution of Drosophila immunity through changes in gene expression. We hope to unveil the roles of regulatory elements play in the evolution of Drosophila immunity under the pressure of pathogen infection by examining the allele specific differential genetic expression of immune response in different Drosophila species and their hybrids.
